Sigmoid Personal Development Well-being Strategy

Our Vision

An active and systematic approach to improved mental capital and well-being.

The aim of this well-being approach is, with scientific research, to empower the many by equipping every employee with the necessary tools and techniques to improve their mental well-being and maximise their Mental Capital. While mental well-being has become a real and crucial topic of conversation in society it is in danger of becoming something we just discuss and an empty phrase. The pursuit of well-being is an active one and requires both knowledge and participation. It is important to understand what affects our well-being and apply tangible practices we can all use in our everyday lives to mitigate the impact of stressors, the influence they have upon us and then pursue the elements of life which bring us happiness.

Mental capital encompasses a person's cognitive and emotional resources. It includes their cognitive ability, how flexible and efficient they are at learning, and their "emotional intelligence", such as their social skills and resilience in the face of stress.

Our bespoke training modules are designed to empower every employee, including the leadership team, with the knowledge and skills to improve these elements with the objective of ensuring the mental-wellbeing and opportunity of flourishing for every employee within their personal and professional lives.

Each training module educates the participant on a scientifically proven contributing factor to well-being, explains how it affects our wellbeing, offers practical tips applicable in every day life and further resources to delve further into the matter.

When faced with the reality that 1 in 4  will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year and 1 in 6 report experiencing a common mental health problem (e.g. anxiety and depression) in any given week, and that 17-18% of those already suffering will need either new or additional mental health support as a direct consequence of the coronavirus crisis the need for an immediate and strategic approach is obvious. So whether it's for you or someone in your social network these tools can help us all.

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.
